Objective: Build, streamline and Integrate

Upon our initial engagements with the team at Bacon by the Box, it became evident that their existing e-commerce setup was acting as a bottleneck, limiting their growth potential and sales. Recognising the need for a new solution, our shared objectives were crafted to not only address immediate challenges but also set the stage for sustained success. A decision was made to migrate the online store to WordPress/Woocommerce from Shopify. Our team also had to consider the customisations that were built-in to their original setup 

The primary goal was to liberate the client from the constraints of their existing setup, especially within the Shopify environment. We aimed to develop a solution that would empower the client with greater flexibility, customisation capabilities, and freedom from the limitations they had previously faced.

Furthermore, another must was to create an online environment that not only attracted more visitors but converted them into loyal customers. Our SEO team also got involved from the initial stages to assist in optimising the website and maximising its potential to perform in SERPS (Search Engine Results Pages). Identifying key issues that were hindering their SEO efforts, including crawling issues from a poorly optimised robots.txt file.

Our clients were thrilled to unveil their revamped website, and the response from their customer base was nothing short of enthusiastic.

The user-interface and usability enhancements were particularly well-received, generating excitement among users.

Custom developments proved to be a game-changer, simplifying the ordering process by enabling the seamless combination of fresh and dry orders for a single delivery.

The introduction of a rewards system, allowing customers to earn points for referrals and purchases, contributed to increased engagement and loyalty. The streamlined checkout process received widespread appreciation, further enhancing the overall user experience and solidifying the success of the website relaunch.

We are still engaged in an ongoing SEO partnership, we are actively working to enhance the online visibility of the newly launched website. Addressing technical errors that surfaced on analysing the previous development, we resolved issues that could potentially impact search engine rankings.

Recognising the need for optimisation, our team undertook a comprehensive site audit, optimised product listings, created and refined content, conducted keyword research, and implemented strategic internal linking.

A significant discovery was the presence of numerous pages not indexed by Google, prompting us to streamline the site’s index and improve its overall presence. To facilitate accurate measurement of performance, we created a new GA4 account and implemented tracking mechanisms, allowing us to gauge the impact of our SEO efforts and continually refine strategies for increased qualified traffic.
